Winter can be a tough time. With the holiday season over and warm weather still miles away, we have not much to look forward to except our January paycheck bringing us back from the depths of our great financial depletion over December. Overall, without the right stimulation, this time of year can become quite uninspired. But do you know what can make winter not so dull and flat? That's right: Holidays.

Increasingly becoming the Portuguese destination to visit in favour of Lisbon, Porto has a lot to offer. With clusters of colourful houses stacked against the coast, and all the pastels de nata you can ask for... we would easily pay twice the price of a train from London to Brighton to travel there.
